Objective
The “Prevent Hate: Power of Your Words” project aims to tackle the issue of hate speech and promote positive communication within diverse communities. The rise of hate speech in many countries has led to discrimination, prejudice, intolerance, hate crimes, social exclusion, and division. The project recognizes that all forms of hate speech are destructive, and combating hatred in all its forms is crucial to protect human rights. Stereotypes often form the basis of hate speech, so the project emphasizes the importance of critical thinking skills and fact-checking to analyze information received. Additionally, young people need to understand and practice tolerance to combat hate speech. The project aims to promote a culture of respect, tolerance, and dialogue through the Erasmus+ youth exchange program. It seeks to equip young people with the tools, knowledge, and skills to recognize, prevent, and combat hate speech in all its forms. By empowering young people to speak out against hate speech, the project hopes to create a more inclusive, peaceful, and cohesive society.

Feedback
Throughout the exchange, we actively participated in various workshops organized by both participant countries and organizers alike. We took two standout sessions, Fact-Checking and an exploration of Hate Speech on social media and its impact. To ensure engagement and enjoyment, we infused interactive elements such as games, debates, and drama into our sessions. As we navigated through the complexities of cultural exchange, we celebrated the richness of our diversity during Cultural Nights and shared the flavors of our respective cultures during Cultural Dinners. These moments of cultural immersion served as reminders of the beauty and strength inherent in our differences. In addition to the workshops, Cultural Nights provided a platform for each participating country to share their unique culture through activities like singing and dancing. exploring the historic streets of Tallinn, we absorbed the essence of its heritage and engaged with the local community to gain firsthand insights into the transformative impact of Erasmus+ initiatives. These encounters reinforced our commitment to championing positive change and building inclusive societies.
